Farming Equipment and Technology Fund (FETF) Grant 2025 – Applications Open 29th May

The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) has officially announced the next round of the Farming Equipment and Technology Fund (FETF). Applications open on 29th May 2025 and close at midday on 10th July 2025.

This year, the fund is split into three key areas: Productivity, Slurry Management and Animal Health and Welfare.

We’re pleased to confirm that a number of JFC Agri products fall under the Animal Health and Welfare section.

How the Animal Health and Welfare Grant Works.

DEFRA has allocated £16.7 million to support commercial farmers who keep Pigs, Sheep, Dairy Cows, Beef cattle, Layer Chickens or Broilers.

The goal of the fund is to support the purchase of equipment that improves livestock health and welfare — leading to better productivity, higher quality, and more consistent food production, ultimately boosting on-farm profitability.

JFC Agri Products Eligible Under FETF 2025

A wide range of JFC products qualify for funding under the Animal Health and Welfare section, including items for sheep, pigs, cattle, and calves.

Sheep

• FETF282SH – Lockable Feed Bins
   Eligible JFC products:
  • Half Ton Feed Bin (CMB1)
  • 750kg Feed Bin (CMB04)
  • 750kg Easy Empty Feed Bin (CMB05)
• FETF304SH – Water Troughs
   Eligible JFC products:
  • 30gal Double Reservoir Easy Access Trough (DT30FF)
  • 18gal Double Reservoir Mountable Trough (DT80M)

Pigs

• FETF282PI – Lockable Feed Bins
   Eligible JFC products:
  • Half Ton Feed Bin (CMB1)
  • 750kg Feed Bin (CMB04)
  • 750kg Easy Empty Feed Bin (CMB05)

Cattle/Calves

Eligible: Evolution S2 and S4.

Eligible: Evolution feed stall.

Eligible: JFC Playball (chain needs to be purchased separately)

   Eligible: All three sizes of JFC’s waterproof, breathable calf jackets.
• FETF230A – Calf Accommodation Pair
   Eligible: Group Hutch (CH230-D) with penning and teat feeder
• FETF231A – Calf Accommodation Group
   Eligible: Super Hutch (CH300-D) with penning and teat feeder
• FETF282CA – Lockable Feed Bins
   Eligible JFC products:
